Warm Weekend Hazards
It might be hard to believe while you're feeling the chill and watching the rain and snow fall today, but a massive warm-up is arriving just in time for the weekend! We're talking 60s and even low 70s for our lower river valleys by Saturday and Sunday. This heat is going to kick spring snowmelt into high gear. Rivers and streams will be running high, fast, and freezing cold. If you're heading out to enjoy the sun and warm temperatures, watch out for logs and debris in the water, keep pets on a tight leash near the banks, and stay back from the edge. High water can easily erode the dirt beneath your feet. Stay safe and enjoy the return of the thaw! ☀️
